I've been meaning to get this done for months and keep putting it off, but the car has started feeling a bit sluggish lately and I'm pretty sure it's overdue for new spark plugs. It's a 2017 Infiniti Q50 with the 3.0 turbo engine and it's done about 95,000 kilometers, which from what I've read is around the point where the plugs should be changed. I've noticed the fuel economy has dropped a bit and the idle isn't as smooth as it used to be, nothing dramatic but enough to notice. What I'm trying to find is somewhere that does Infiniti spark plug replacement near MBZ City, ideally a place that knows these engines and will use the correct plugs rather than whatever's cheapest on the shelf. I've heard that on these turbo engines the plug gap and heat range actually matter, and if you fit the wrong ones you can end up with misfires or worse, so I don't want to just hand it to any general garage. The other thing is that on this engine I've read the plugs are buried under a load of plastic covers and the intake piping, so it's not a quick job like it was on older cars, and I don't want anyone learning on my car and breaking clips or leaving things loose. Has anyone here actually had this done on a Q50 or similar and can recommend somewhere in the MBZ City area? I'd also like to know roughly what it should cost including labor, because I've seen quotes ranging from a couple of hundred to over a thousand and I have no idea what's reasonable. Any genuine advice would be appreciated because I'd rather get it done once, properly, than cheap out and have to redo it.
