Hallo, ich heiße Julia, bin Mitte 30 und stehe fest im Leben mit meinem Mann und drei Kindern.
Dennoch gibt es eine Last, die mich immer wieder runterzieht. Es geht um meinen jüngsten Bruder, 1997 geboren. Er wohnt bei meinen Eltern und macht nichts. Er hat psychische Probleme und fängt keine Therapie an. Er hat keine Ausbildung/Studium und wird gefühlt auch nie etwas machen. Finanzielle Anreize gibt es für ihn nicht. Was genau er psychisch hat, kann ich nicht genau sagen. Unser Vater ist depressiv, seit 5 Jahren in einer relativ guten Phase und ich selbst hatte vor 6 Jahren eine Angststörung, aufgrund von sofort begonnener Psychotherapie, habe ich das gut überwunden.
Vor ein paar Monaten sagte mein Bruder mal wieder zu mir (sonst reden wir eigentlich selten darüber), das jetzt wieder ein Jahr vergangen ist, wo er nichts gemacht hat und wenn er doch nur wieder 18 wäre... aber er ändert nichts! Er sucht sich keine Hilfe. Er hat vermutlich ein sehr geringes Selbstwertgefühl, negative Glaubenssätze und vermutlich einigen Mist aus der Kindheit in sich. Meine Schwester und ich haben ihn mehrmals gebeten, sich einen Job (als Struktur) zu suchen und eine Therapie. Da höre ich aber nur Ausreden. Er hat glaub auch Sorge, dass Therapie nicht hilft und das wäre seine letzte Möglichkeit, aber er macht auch nichts.
Ich weiß, es gibt hier auch viel viel härtere Fälle bei Geschwistern, aber mich belastet es teilweise sehr, ich hatte schon Phasen wo es mich fast selbst dadurch wieder in die Angst gezogen hat.

Ich weiß nicht richtig, was machen. Ich versuche mich abzugrenzen, dass ich nicht für ihn verantwortlich bin und er selbst verantwortlich ist. Doch ist das richtig.. Ich habe mich noch nie mit anderen ausgetauscht, die Geschwister mit solchen Problemen haben. Auch in meiner Familie wird das Thema nicht wirklich thematisiert. Bedrückt bin ich von den Weihnachtsferien wieder nach Hause gefahren, ich ertrage es schon schwer in seiner Nähe, weil es einfach immer mitschwingt. Es tut mir leid für ihn, aber er hat es doch selbst in der Hand sich Hilfe zu suchen... Ich weiß echt nicht, wie ich damit umgehen soll.. Mir tut auch meine Mutter leid, die alles so stillschweigend ertragen muss. Auch das negative Umfeld von meinem Vater, der oft so aggressiv ist und schlecht gelaunt und ihr nie etwas Gutes tut..

Hallo liebe andere als Geschwister Betroffene!

Schön, nicht allein zu sein damit.
Ich bin 44 Jahre alt und habe zwei Brüder, sie sind beide jünger als ich.Wir haben die gleichen Eltern, der Altersabstand ist aber sehr groß. Ich habe außerdem einen liebevollen Mann und zwei Kinder.
Meine beiden Brüder sind psychisch erkrankt.
Der mittlere Bruder hat MS und Depressionen. Der jüngste Bruder hat Depressionen, Alkoholsucht, Spielsucht und Cannabissucht. Er wohnt noch bei unseren Eltern. Er war in diesem Jahr in stationärer Behandlung, aber ist nach vier Monaten rausgeflogen, weil er die Regeln an den Treffen teilzunehmen nicht eingehalten hat. Seitdem zieht er sich sehr zurück, spricht nicht mehr mit unseren Eltern, schließt sich lange ein und antwortet mir per WhatsApp nur selten/nach Wochen und nicht auf meine Fragen.
Ich weiß nicht, wie es mit ihm weitergehen soll, er macht sein Leben komplett kaputt und das unserer Eltern auch. Sie leben unter ständiger Anspannung, aber er ist volljährig und kann nicht so einfach gegen seinen Willen irgendwo hingebracht werden.

Ich versuche es für mich mit radikaler Akzeptanz der Situation und mit möglichst viel Abstand, aber ich kann nicht mehr mit unseren Eltern telefonieren, geschweige denn sie treffen, ohne mich danach total ausgelaugt zu fühlen.

Hallo ihr,
ich bin Mitte 40 und bereits mein Leben lang mit Bipolarität, Depressionen und daraus resultierender Sucht, umgeben.
Erst mein Vater (welcher letztes Jahr auch in Folge seiner Erkrankung verstorben ist) und seit ca. 20 Jahren auch mit meiner Schwester. (ich bin die größere)
Meine Schwester war immer sehr zart, hochsensibel und verletzlich, schon als Kind. Daher habe ich auch immer versucht sie zu schützen und für sie da zu sein.
Je älter sie wurde, desto schwieriger wurde es. Die letzten Jahre hat sie gar keine Hilfe mehr annehmen können, wirft aber im selben Moment allen nahestehenden Menschen vor sie allein zu lassen. Ihre Medikamente hat sie abgesetzt, Therapien abgebrochen und verweigert es ihre Krankheit zu sehen, neuerdings ganz. Jetzt sind alle anderen schuld...
Wahrscheinlich wisst ihr was ich meine. Manchmal bin ich echt verzweifelt.
Seit dem Tod unseres Vaters ist es ganz schlimm. Hatte sie vorher meistens unsere Mutter auf dem Kieker, ging es jetzt voll gegen mich. (Wobei ich keinesfalls sagen will, das es besser ist ihr Zorn richtet sich gegen unsere Mutter, meine Mama leidet sehr darunter und mir ist lieber es trifft mich)
Es kam auf, das sie in vielen Dingen bereits über Jahre massiv gelogen hat und wirklich schlimme Dinge gemacht hat.
Ich weiß das es an ihrer Krankheit liegt, aber ich bin trotzdem so traurig darüber. Ich hab meine Schwester verloren mit der ich einst sehr eng verbunden war.

Ich weiß ja das ihr teilweise extremes Verhalten nichts mit mir zu tun, aber manchmal, wie im Moment muss ich mich einfach ein Stück verstecken. Und dann kommt wieder das schlechte Gewissen, weil ich ihr ja eigentlich helfen will.
Ach Mann, diese Krankheit ist ein Arschl...
Ich merke es tut mir gut, das einfach mal loszuwerden, auch wenn es sich ein bißchen wie Verrat anfühlt.

Abgesehen von den aus meiner Ursrpungsfamilie resultierenden Schwierigkeiten bin ich eine fröhliche, glücklich verheiratete Mama, die ihr Leben schon auch sehr geniessen kann.
Geholfen haben mir jahrelange Psychotherapie, Selbstfindungsseminare, mein Mann, gute Freunde und Yoga.

Hallo liebe Geschwister,
Ich habe erst vor kurzem das Geschwister Netzwerk gefunden über das Buch "Übersehene Geschwister" und freue mich sehr über diese Plattform. Mein zwei Jahre älterer Bruder (heute 39 J.) ist vor über 20 Jahren psychisch erkrankt. Er hat dadurch einiges durchgemacht: Schulabbruch, er wurde daraufhin von unserer Mutter zu einer Ausbildung gezwungen... die Auswirkung kann man sich vorstellen. Danach reihten sich bisher zwei Klinikaufenthalte und zwischendrin verschiedene Jobs mit häufigen Wechsel bzw. längere Perioden dazwischen ohne Arbeiten zu können, an. Mein Bruder war zwar in Therapie, hat diese aber auch über Jahre unterbrochen, Antidepressiva ohne ärztliche Begleitung oftmals selbst abgesetzt und irgendwann wieder genommen. Insgesamt ist unsere Familiensituation durch die ganze Situation sehr angespannt. Heute verstehe ich immer mehr, dass meine Eltern oder wir als Familie nicht gut umgegangen sind mit seiner Krankheit und ihm dadurch auch nicht so gut helfen konnten. Ich war wie so viele Geschwister immer sehr funktional und bin einfach mitgelaufen ohne größere Probleme auf den ersten Blick. Die letzten 20 Jahre habe ich vor allem als Mediator in der Familie gedient. Leider stelle ich erst jetzt fest wie sehr mich die ganze Situation auch belastet hat und sich vor allem auf meine Beziehungen, Freundschaften und auch das Arbeitsleben ausgewirkt hat. Ich habe meine Bedürnisse/Wünsche immer zurückgestellt, sodass ich heute quasi nicht mal weiß wer ich eigentlich bin, was meine Bedürfnisse sind und was ich für mich will. Ich bin über ein Coaching darauf gestoßen, dass es Studien zum Thema Geschwister von psychisch erkrankten Menschen gibt und dass die Verhaltensweisen, die ich aufweise und als Überlebensstrategie gelernt habe, sehr häufig vorkommen in dieser Situation. Jetzt bin ich ganz am Anfang von gefühlt einem langem Weg auf der Suche nach mir selbst. Das Buch "Übersehene Geschwister" hat mir schon sehr geholfen, ich bin nun auch auf einer Warteliste für eine Therapie, mache solange das Coaching weiter und werde nach einer Selbsthilfegruppe suchen. Auswirkungen einer psychischen Erkrankung auf die ganze Familie

Hallo,
ich bin 62 Jahre, Bruder einer seit 45 Jahren Border Line/Essstörung erkrankten Schwester (48) und eines depressiven Bruders (60). Die erkrankte Schwester lebt im Haushalt unsere Eltern (86/92).
Die 45 jährige Sorge und das Bemühen um Gesundung ihrer Tochter bestimmen das Leben unserer Eltern, wirken sich in vieler Hinsicht belastend auf die Stammfamilie und meine eigene Familie (3 Kinder) aus. Meine Eltern haben ausschließlich ihre Tochter im Blick und dabei "die Realität" aus dem Blick verloren. Der Familie ist darüber zerbrochen. Aktuell eskaliert die Situation, da unsere Eltern vor ihrem naherückenden Lebensende unbedingt meine Schwester "gesund" machen wollen, um beruhigt die Augen zu schließen. Dazu versuchen sie alle Familienmitglieder zu ihrer eigenen Sichtweise und zugehöriger Unterstützung meiner Schwester zu zwingen. Das geht bis zur angedrohten Enterbung und dem "Ausschluß aus der Familie". Was meine Schwester bislang nicht gesund machte, wird jedoch jetzt auch nicht erfolgreich sein.
Während der Beschäftigung mit dieser Situation entdecke meine "lebenslange" Vernachlässigung durch die Eltern, deren Interesselosigkeit an mir als "Gesundem", das nie endende Zurückstehen und in die hintere Reihe geschoben Sein, meine Verletzung, Eifersucht und Wut auf Eltern und Schwester. Ich fühle mich schuldig für diese Gefühle und gleichzeitig nicht bereit, das elende Spiel weiter mitzuspielen.
Hat jemand Erfahrung aus vergleichbarer Situation und kann Rat zum Umgang mit diesen starken Gefühlen geben? Wo finde ich in diesem Forum Beiträge, die sich damit beschäftigen, wie die Erkrankung einer Person die Familie zerstört und auch wie Kranke ihre Krankheit als "Krankheitsgewinn" machtvoll zur Durchsetzung eigener Ziele einsetzen?

Hallo!

Ich bin 26 Jahre alt und bin angehender Lehrer. Ich bin damals mit 19 von zuhause weggezogen, um zu studieren und lebe seither auch alleine. Meine Familie bedeutet mir alles. Ich tue alles was ich kann für sie. Mein Vater war nicht gerade der beste Vater. Er war zwar immer da aber irgendwie haben meine Geschwister, meine Mutter und ich getrennt von ihm gelebt. In den gleichen vier Wänden und doch irgendwie wie Fremde. Je älter ich wurde, desto einfacher war es für mich mit ihm klarzukommen. Er ist einfach anders als ich und ich musste lernen die Dinge zu akzeptieren. Klar so richtig Vater-Sohn sind wir nie geworden aber immerhin konnten wir reden und auch lachen. Ich konnte ihn nie um Hilfe bitten aber ich habe mich wenigstens wohl gefühlt. So weit so gut - schätze ich...

Seit letztem Jahr arbeitet er mit meiner Mutter in einer Fabrik. So hat eigentlich alles angefangen. Es ging los mit Eifersucht und komischem Kontrollverhalten. Zuerst dachten wir das liegt vielleicht an der hormonellen Veränderung weil die 50er Marke überschritten wurde. War komisch sich das anzuhören aber okay - schätze ich...

Mit der Zeit wurde es immer schlimmer. Beleidigungen. Hure. Nutte. Dann wurden Affären nachgesagt. Heimliche treffen in Kabinen. Die Kollegen lachen ihn angeblich aus. Machen sich lustig über ihn, weil seine Frau in der Fabrik rumhurt. Er hat sich auch nichts sagen lassen, weil er sieht wie meine Mutter mit den Kollegen flirtet. Und umgekehrt. Da ist nicht nur etwas in mir gebrochen, sondern auch entstanden. Große Wut. Dann kamen Morddrohungen. Meine Mutter verzweifelt und ich mit ihr. Wir haben uns Hilfe suchen wollen. Mein Vater rief uns damals "verpisst euch" hinterher. Komisch war es, dass er sich dann abkapselte, sich sammelte und dann entschuldigte. Die Entschuldigungen sahen so aus "ich verzeihe dir. Mir tut es auch leid. Aber pass ab jetzt besser auf." (Das sagt er zu meiner Mutter).

Er drohte alle umzubringen. Die Arbeitskollegen, meine Mutter und sich selbst. Er kaufte GPS-Tracker, die er aber nie aufmachte. Er spielte Psychospielchen. Versteckt Gegenstände, damit er gefragt wird. Er beobachtet meine Mutter auf der Arbeit extra genau.

Zeit vergeht und Wogen glätten sich. Nicht für mich aber für den Rest der Familie. Jetzt gab es immer wieder solche Phasen. Noch immer dachten wir, dass das nur eine Phase ist. Hormonelle Veränderungen. Jetzt kam es zu einem Vorfall. Auf der Arbeit ist er tatsächlich handgreiflich geworden. Er hat einen Kollegen geschlagen. Sein Vorwurf lautet, dass dieser Kollege (60 Jahre alt) die Autoreifen von seinem Wagen abgeschraubt hat. Er wollte also einen Unfall verursachen. Er meinte auch, dass er das alles gesehen hat.

Hintergrund: Mein Vater fährt einen sehr rostigen Wagen, bei dem die Reifen und Bremsen gewechselt wurden von einem Hobby-Mechaniker. Muss natürlich kein Fehler sein. Kann sein, aber muss nicht. Wie gesagt, der Wagen war eh schon alt und rostig. Jedenfalls ist sein Autoreifen auf dem Heimweg weggerollt. Es gab zum Glück keine Verletzte.

Ich weiß um ehrlich zu sein nicht, was mein Vater hat.
Ich weiß nicht, ob er krank ist. Ich weiß nur, dass er nicht er selbst ist. Er war kein toller Vater oder Ehemann. Aber er war nie gewalttätig und nie so aggressiv, wie jetzt.

Hallo.
Mein Name ist Emely und ich bin 19 Jahre alt. Ich komme aus Norddeutschland direkt von der Ostsee.
Ich habe einen 2,5 Jahre jüngeren Bruder. Dieser ist psychisch krank. Er hat eine narzisstische Tendenz (vor dem 18. Lebensjahr kann man keine Persönlichkeitsstörung diagnostizieren), sowie eine Online-Spielsucht. Die Kombination hat ihn in die vollständige Isolation gebracht. Wir beide leben noch in unserem Elternhaus, was die Lage für mich natürlich nicht vereinfacht.
Mein Bruder hatte bisher einen stationären Aufenthalt, welcher jedoch abgebrochen werden musste da er sich weigerte jegliche Therapien zu beginnen.
Ich habe im September meine Ausbildung als Ergotherapeutin begonnen ,wodurch mir in der Theorie der Thematik von Psychischen Krankheiten im Jugendalter bekannt ist.
Die Ausbildung meines Bruders musste er nach 4 Monaten abbrechen, da zum einen die Sucht des Online-Gamings zu hoch war zum anderen hat er angefangen somatische Magen-Darm-Probleme zu entwickeln. Dadurch ist er nicht mehr zur Arbeit gegangen.

Mein Bruder hat starke Probleme Entscheidung zu treffen und unter Druck zu stehen. Sein Abwehrverhalten ist dann sehr aggressiv und drohend. (Zudem muss man sagen, dass ein 17 jähriger deutlich massiver ist als eine 19 jähre ist). Jedoch wird er hierbei nie handgreiflich-es bleibt bei dem Androhen.

Soooo. Das ein wenig von mir. Ich hoffe auf Menschen zu treffen, die verstehen was es bedeutet in so einer Familiendynamik zu leben und funktionieren zu müssen.

Hallo liebe Alle,

jetzt springe ich mal ins kalte Wasser und stelle mich vor. Ich bin 61, verheiratet und habe zwei erwachsene Kinder. Meine Schwester ist 5 1/2 Jahre älter als ich. Sie war schon immer mega schwierig und unsere Mutter hat so manchen Drahtseilakt hinter sich gebracht um meine Schwester zu unterstützen und "auf Spur" zu halten. Unterstützung oder Wissen über psychische Krankheiten gabs in unserer Familie damals nicht. Das Verheimlichen und irgendwie Bewältigen der Schwierigkeiten stand da eher im Vordergrund, die Scham über den unerkannten Wahnsinn in einem dazu noch schwierigen Beziehungsverhältnis der Eltern, das zusätzlich auch keine Unterstützung bot. In der Zwischenzeit hat meine Schwester multiple Hospitalisierungen hinter sich, die erste ernsthafte mit 33, bei der ich aktiv beteiligt war, da ich zu der Zeit auch in den USA war (meine Schwester lebt in den USA). Ihre Diagnose bewegt sich irgendwo zwischen schwerer Persönlichkeitsstörung und Schizophrenie. Sie lebt wie erwähnt in den USA, worüber ich einerseits froh bin, weil allein geographisch ein Abstand gegeben ist; andererseits ist es schwierig, ihr Hilfe zu organisieren, wenn sie dekompensiert.

Letztes Jahr konnte ich die Hospitalisierung meiner Schwester von Deutschland aus in die Gänge bringen. Unsere beiden Eltern sind 2019/2020 binnen vier Monaten beide verstorben, es war damals schon klar, dass es nur eine Frage der Zeit wäre, wann meine Schwester ihren Halt verlieren würde, zumal sie schon immer mit ihren Medikamenten auf Kriegsfuß steht. Von vielen wurde mir geraten, dass ich mich nicht einmischen soll, dass ich auf die Distanz Deutschland - USA eh nichts bewirken kann. Der Gedanke, dass meine Schwester unter Umständen einfach auf der Straße verrecken würde, hat mich nicht losgelassen, das aber nicht unbedingt, weil wir einmal ein unbeschreiblich gutes Verhältnis und persönliche Nähe hatten; über viele Umwege und einfach auch nur glückliche Zufälle konnte ich dann von weitem doch noch eine Intervention ankurbeln. Zur Zeit hat sie endlich (wieder) eine Sachwalterin und wird im Februar nach langem Psychiatrieaufenthalt und eng betreutem Wohnen in eine Art "selbstständigere" Wohngruppe ziehen. Ich telefoniere nur sehr selten mit ihr, da ich leider zu einem fixen Bestandteil ihres psychotischen Systems geworden bin, nebst der Tatsache, dass sie auf mich schon seit unserer Kindheit extrem eifersüchtig war. All das ist sehr anstrengend, weil sie mich für alles verantwortlich macht und leider nicht die Fähigkeit besitzt, ihr Verhalten in irgendeiner Form zu reflektieren. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob in unserem Kontakt jemals wieder eine Art Gespräch von Herz zu Herz möglich sein wird.

Das, was mich persönlich momentan am meisten beschäftigt, ist die Erkenntnis, dass ich in meiner Kindheit/Jugend durch die allgegenwärtigen Schwierigkeiten mit meiner Schwester eigentlich traumatisiert bin. Bis vor kurzem war ich mit der "all das ist zu schaffen und zu bewältigen Strategie" beschäftigt. Ich bin selbst Psychotherapeutin, ein Lebensplan, auf den ich sicherlich vom Ursprung meiner Ursprungsfamilie gekommen bin. Da ging es primär um Wissen einzuholen, das Wissen wie in Akutsituationen zu handeln ist, das Wissen über die Zeichen einer beginnenden Dekompensation, ich habe über 10 Jahre selbst in der Psychiatrie gearbeitet - man sollte meinen, ich hätte es in Bezug auf das eigenen Trauma besser wissen sollen....letztendlich ging es primär darum, das Gefühl der Kontrolle nicht zu verlieren, die ja letztendlich eh nichts anderes als eine Illusion ist. Wieso ich so lange gebraucht habe um das zu verstehen, ist mir heute ein Rätsel.

Die Erkenntnis kam erst nach dem Tod unserer Mutter, die schon seit einigen Jahren vor ihrem Tod den Kontakt zu meiner Schwester nur auf Sparflamme hielt, weil sie selbst einfach keine Kraft mehr hatte. Also war ich irgendwie das Bindeglied, wenn es zu Psychiatrieaufenthalten kam, hab ich mit den Ärzten geredet, Geldüberweisungen für sie organisiert etc. Ich hätte mich auch jederzeit vor unserer Mutter gestellt um sie vor den Attacken meiner Schwester zu schützen. In den kurzen Wochen ihres Sterbens hat mich unsere Mutter inständig gebeten, ich möge meine Schwester von ihr fern halten, mit der Erklärung, dass sie jetzt all ihre Kraft zum Sterben benötigen würde. Da saß ich so richtig zwischen den Stühlen, weil ich für meine Schwester mir sehr gewünscht hätte , dass sie noch mit unserer Mutter sprechen hätte können, aber letztendlich bin ich dem Wunsch unserer Mutter gefolgt.

Ich sage mir oft, dass all mein Lernen und die Dinge, die ich gemacht habe um an mir selbst zu arbeiten, doch nicht umsonst gewesen sein können. Bis vor dem Tod unserer Eltern hatte ich eine kleine psychotherapeutische Praxis, dann kam Corona und Stillstand mit der Frage, was und wozu ich das überhaupt alles mache - so ne richtige Sinnkrise, aus der ich mich (glaube ich) langsam wieder raus arbeite. Im Zuge dessen stolpere ich über unglaubliche Selbstzweifel, über innere Hürden in die Sichtbarkeit zu kommen - auch und vor allem im Kontext die Vergangenheit zu benennen und so zu beschreiben, wie sie für mich tatsächlich war und zum Teil immer noch ist. Das, was einmal innere Struktur/Sinn war, zerfällt quasi vor meinen Augen und der eigentliche Wahnsinn wird immer klarer.

Damit möchte ich mich erst einmal vorstellen und so einen Schritt in eine "wörtliche" Sichtbarkeit machen.

Hallo liebe Geschwister

Zuerst einmal möchte ich sagen, dass ich unheimlich froh bin, dieses Netzwerk gefunden zu haben und zu sehen, dass es anderen Geschwistern auch so geht.

Ich möchte euch die Situation mit meinem hochsensiblen Bruder schildern und wäre so dankbar um einen Kommentar oder Tipp von eurer Seite. Wir haben ein sehr enges und gutes Verhältnis, helfen einander, haben uns lieb und ich bin seine Bezugsperson Nr 1.

Mein Bruder ist 3 Jahre jünger als ich (heute 29 J.) und war seit ich denken kann das "Sorgenkind" unserer Familie. Alles was mir sehr leicht fiel, war für ihn schwierig und er hatte schon früh in der Schule Probleme, weshalb meine Eltern immer wieder von den Lehrern eingeladen wurde, er war immer sehr höflich und hilfsbereit aber hatte Mühe mit der Konzentration und hat andere abgelenkt, er musste schon als Kind verschiedene Abklärungen machen und in eine Ergotherapie. Ich war quasi ein Selbstläufer und habe erfolgreich die Schule und Lehre absolviert und einen guten Platz im Berufsleben gefunden, ich hatte immer viele soziale Kontakte und alles ging ring für mich, meine Eltern mussten sich nie gross um mich kümmern.
Bei ihm war es leider das Gegenteil, besonders schlimm wurde es, als er die Lehre als Logistiker angefangen hat, da hat er angefangen zu kiffen da er mit dem Druck bei der Arbeit nicht klarkam, ich würde sagen, dass er da bereits hochsensibel war. Immer wieder hat er gefehlt bei der Arbeit oder in der Schule, wir haben ihn täglich ermutigt, haben ihm beim lernen geholfen und ihn unterstützt wo es ging, mein Vater hat ihn fast jeden Tag 40 Minuten zur Arbeit gefahren um ihm den Weg etwas zu erleichtern. Wir haben ihm auch einen Abbruch der Lehre vorgeschlagen, da es ihm so schlecht ging, aber er wollte es "durchziehen". Die letzten 2 Monate vor Lehrabschluss ging es ihm dann gar nicht gut, er hatte Mühe mit seinem sehr bösen und strengen Lehrmeister und musste jeden morgen vor der Arbeit erbrechen und hatte Panikattacken. Er liess sich dann die letzten zwei Monate krankschreiben und hat die Abschlussprüfungen knapp nicht bestanden. Wir haben als Familie Rekurs eingelegt und sind durchgekommen, sodass er dann seinen Abschluss hatte. Von da an wurde es schwieriger, er wollte nicht mehr arbeiten, da er so schlechte Erfahrungen mit der Arbeitswelt gemacht hat. Wir haben ihn ermutigt und immer wieder hat er neue Jobs angefangen und dann wieder hingeschmissen. Der Cannabis Konsum wurde mehr und mehr sodass er dann täglich gekifft hat, was er bis heute macht. Er hat verschiedene Coachings ausprobiert aber in eine Psychotherapie wollte er nie. Als er sich dann auch noch mit seinem Freundeskreis verstritten hat (seine Freundin hatte etwas mit seinem Freund), hatte er auch keine sozialen Kontakte mehr. Ich habe mich sehr um sein Wohl gesorgt und hatte Angst um ihn, habe dann meinen Job gekündet und ging mit ihm 4 Monate reisen, damit er positive Erlebnisse und Erfahrungen sammeln konnte und von all dem Negativen und dem Druck zu Hause einmal wegkam. Während dem Reisen ging es ihm richtig gut, er hat nicht gekifft in dieser Zeit und wurde sehr positiv. Als wir zurück kamen haben wir ihm einen Job gesucht (ich habe ihm immer bei den Bewerbungen geholfen und ihn für die Interviews gecoacht) und auch gleich einen tollen Logistik-Job mit angenehmeren Arbeitszeiten gefunden. Diesen hat er 2 Jahre durchgezogen, mal war es mühsam und mal war es ok aber generell hatte er zum ersten Mal etwas mehr Stabilität im Berufsleben, seine Kollegen mochten ihn und die Chefs waren super happy mit ihm und lobten ihn viel. Anfang dieses Jahres 2021 ging es ihm dann wieder schlechter, er wollte nicht mehr arbeiten, konnte nicht mehr und hatte wieder die selben morgendlichen Probleme (Erbrechen, Panikattacken, Angstzustände). Sodass er sich krankschreiben liess und kurz darauf per Ende Mai gekündet hat. Sein Cannabis Konsum ist wieder gestiegen, nun wohnt er alleine (direkt neben mir), ist nach wie vor krankgeschrieben und zieht sich bis auf den Kontakt zu mir und unseren Eltern komplett zurück. Andere Drogen oder Alkohol hat er zum Glück nie konsumiert, aber das Cannabis hat eine Angststörung gefördert denke ich. Er möchte auch nicht damit aufhören, er sagt, das gehöre halt zu ihm und er konnte auch so arbeiten (hat einfach erst nach der Arbeit gekifft). Ich habe einen sehr stressigen Job und bin sehr ausgelastet und habe oft das Gefühl, dass ich ihn "alleine" lasse. Aber ich kann ihn ja auch nicht rund um die Uhr betreuen. Er ist sehr gerne alleine, das macht ihm nichts aber ich habe das Gefühl, dass wenn er alleine ist, mehr negative als positive Gedanken wachsen.
Positiv ist, dass er sich von mir überzeugen liess, in eine Psychotherapie zu gehen, was er nun seit Frühling diesen Jahres macht. Nun steht eine Wiedereingliederung in den Arbeitsmarkt bevor, wo er weiterhin von der Versicherung bezahlt wird und ohne Druck für 3 Monate ein Arbeitstraining absolvieren kann. Nächste Woche haben wir das Gespräch (ich darf ihn sogar begleiten) mit dem Arbeitgeber und bereits jetzt schläft er nicht und hat Angst- und Panikzustände, ich habe das Gefühl, das ist viel stärker geworden. Ich bin absolut hilflos, meine Unterstützung und alles was ich sage oder tue scheinen nicht zu helfen. Er tut mir unendlich leid, denn er möchte eigentlich wieder arbeiten und Teil der Gesellschaft sein, aber sobald es "ernst" wird kommen seine Panikzustände und Zweifel und er kann nicht mehr klar denken. Für mich von aussen betrachtet unbegründet (das sage ich ihm natürlich nicht), aber für ihn der blanke Horror. Ich danke euch, dass ihr meine Zeilen gelesen habt und bin gespannt auf euer Feedback.

Hallo liebe Community,

da ich momentan noch auf einen Therapieplatz warte, bin ich auf der Suche nach dem Austausch mit Gleichgesinnten. Daher: Schön, hier zu sein!
Ich bin 24 Jahre alt und versuche einen Weg zu finden, mit meiner Schwester richtig umzugehen.

Meine 4 Jahre ältere Schwester leidet nun seit circa 5 Jahren an Psychosen, manischen Depressionen, Schizophrenie und ist zugleich über die letzten Jahre in esoterische Kreise abgerutscht, die ihre arme kaputte Seele wohl noch mehr angreifen und ihr umso mehr schädigen. Schon in ihrer Jugend konnte man merken, dass sie häufig depressive Phasen hatte, sie war immer die beste in der Schule und hatte nicht wirklich gute Freunde in ihrem Umfeld. Sie war immer sehr kreativ und hyperintelligent und konnte sich in andere Welten, Bücher, Filme etc. verlieren.
Das erste mal war sie vor 5 Jahren in einer Klinik in Spanien, nachdem sie mit dem Hubschrauber aus dem Meer gefischt wurde. Sie wollte laut ihren Erzählungen herausfinden, ob Aliens den Hubschrauber fliegen. Aus der Klinik ist sie nach zwei Tagen ausgebrochen oder wurde entlassen, sie erzählt verschiedene Versionen der Story. Seitdem wurde meine Papa alle paar Monate aus verschiedenen Ländern angerufen, in denen meine Schwester eingewiesen wurde. Sie hat sich dennoch immer gegen eine langzeitige Behandlung gewehrt und hängt leider in ihren esoterischen Methoden (wahrscheinlich auch psychedelische Drogen). Zudem ist sie nirgends gemeldet, nicht versichert und auch ihre Geldeinnahmequelle ist uns unklar. Vor zwei Wochen hatten wir wieder eine heiße Phase, in der sie am Telefon um unsere Hilfe gefleht hat. Meine Eltern sind sehr liebevolle Eltern und verzweifeln an der Geschichte genauso wie ich. Wir lieben meine Schwester sehr und würden ihr unglaublich gerne helfen. Immer wenn wir dann tatsächlich zur Hilfe antanzen, werden wir jedes mal auf ein neues auf den Boden der Tatsachen gezogen, dass wir ihr einfach nicht helfen können. Es zerbricht mir das Herz. Auch dieses mal wollte sie uns letztendlich wieder nur benutzen, um an Geld und neue Sachen zu kommen, war aber nicht dazu bereit, um mit uns zu kooperieren und sich helfen zu lassen. Sie ist sehr verkommen, ungepflegt, wusste nicht mehr wie sie sich wäscht und wie man sich die Zähne putzt. Sie erzählte viel über die Lichtnahrung, dessen Praxis sie nun befolgt. Wir gingen im Streit auseinander, als sie auf dem Weg in eine Klinik an einer Raststätte ausstieg und nicht mehr ins Auto einsteigen wollte. Die letzten Tage hat sie mir sehr oft geschrieben und mich auch zu sich eingeladen (wo auch immer das ist). Ich fühle mich schlecht ihr nicht zu antworten, fühle mich aber momentan auch nicht Stark genug, ihr entgegen zu treten, da mich die Tage mit ihr schon komplett ausgelaugt und fertig gemacht haben.

Ich freue mich sehr über den Austausch hier im Forum und hoffe, dass wir uns gegenseitig Mut machen und Tips für den Umgang mit unseren Geschwistern geben können! <3

Hallo liebe Leute,

Ich bin seit einiger Zeit dabei etwas für Geschwister von psychisch Erkrankten zu finden. Drum bin ich ganz glücklich hier in ein Austausch mit vielleicht ähnlich betroffenen Personen zu kommen.

Meine liebe Schwester ist vor etwa 14 Jahren an Bipolare Störung erkrankt (Ausbruch).

Seitdem hat sich meine Welt verändert. Nicht nur, daß ich die erste Bezugsperon für sie war, auch ihre verbalen Übergriffe sind mittlerweile fast schon unerträglich für mich.

Irgendwie, als wenn das Unglück sie sucht passieren Dinge in ihrer Gegenwart oder treten in ihr leben, welche diese Krankheit auch noch extrem begünstigen. So beispielsweise ihr auch nicht ganz gesunder Mann in ihr Leben trat oder unser Vater vor ihren Augen (im Krankenhaus), als sie Mitternacht alleine mit ihm war, vestarb.

Ich möchte an dieser Stelle mit meiner Story nicht nerven aber mit eines habe ich heute zu kämpfen- "Was ist mit mir?"
Denn auch ich merke, dass ich mich mittlerweile stark verändert habe zu der alten von früher. Sicherlich treten viele Faktoren dazu bei aber eines ganz bestimmt, stelle ich fest: Mein psychischer Zustand ist ebenfalls nicht mehr in bester Ordnung, gesteuert durch die aufdringlichen Sichtweisen und der Art meiner Schwester.

Das merke ich im Familienleben, auf der Arbeit und auch unter Umständen bei Kontakten mit Freunden.

Mittlerweile fällt es mir schwer zu unterscheiden, was ist nun noch normal und was ist wahn?

Außerdem habe ich das Gefühl, dass mehr Menschen in meinem Umfeld psychische Probleme haben als es mir lieb ist, leider. Meine Mutter erzählt mir im Auto, nachdem bereits mein Vater verstorben war, dass ihre Großmutter psychisch erkrankte, da sei sie ein Kind gewesen und sie habe bei ihnen gelebt.

Auch die Mutter meines Mannes nimmt Psychopharmaka, mittlerweile selbstgesteuert sowie auch der Bruder.

Ich frage mich in diesem Zusammenhang, bin ich auch soweit mittlerweile, dass ich es bräuchte?

Bin ich alleine mit solchen Gedanken und Probleme?

Wie geht ihr damit um?

Im Übrigen hat meine Schwester auch Schizophrene Züge, laut Arzt.
